Following extensive trials, a new food bay manufactured by OMZ in Italy a company who are
specialists in the field of high-pressure industrial washing plants has been formally opened at South
Eastern Tanker Services (SETS) in Dagenham.
SETS who are the largest independent cleaning station in the UK have made a significant investment
into this new bay which will reduce the cleaning times of food grade products especially chocolate &
flour.
The very high-pressure wash heads used will enable a significant reduction in cleaning times and
added to the existing two food bays will also improve vehicle waiting hours.
Despite the difficulties in the workplace caused by the Coronavirus epidemic SETS have managed to
continue working with new procedures and safety restrictions with drivers remaining in their
vehicles.
The essential cleaning of food tankers has enabled large volumes of Flour, Chocolate and Vegetable
oils to be cleaned to enable the tankers to provide raw materials for the food industry.
This latest investment now enables SETS to now offer three chemical bays, and three food grade
bays together with lifting and storage of Tank containers.
Heating facilities have been expanded to offer 15 x steam bays, 2 hot water bays, 5 electric bays with
overnight and weekends also available.
